3 ways to make your next home move a breeze!

Moving into a new home can be overwhelming when you've got decades worth of stuff to go through, organize and fit in your new home. We make sure the building process or purchasing your new home is Easy as 1-2-3, but we've also got a few ways to help make your move a breeze!

1. De-clutter and Purge

Getting rid of things can be hard, but if you haven’t used it in the past few years, then it could just turn into a hassle for you to move.  By getting rid of some things that you no longer use, it is less for you to pack and unpack. It can also reduce the stress of finding a place to put everything and can limit overcrowding rooms! You can donate the items you no longer need to a local charity, and feel even better about de-cluttering.  

2. Organization - Label, Label, Label

Make sure you are deliberate about organization in your packing - not just putting things in boxes and taping them up. Take inventory of what you put in each box and then write it on the outside. It can make it easier when you are trying to prioritize what needs to be unpacked first.  Another tip is to color code the boxes according to which room they need to go to!  This will cut down time, and help your movers place things where they belong. 

3. Pack your "survival" box or suitcase

This is one of the most important things to do when moving.  Take a box or suitcase and place the essentials in there that you will need for the night after the move.  This can include things like a change of clothes, sheets, personal hygiene products, medications, and any important documentation that needs to be kept handy. Having this easily accessible will take the stress off of having to dig through a ton of boxes to find one thing.
