Nestled in the heart of the Lowcountry lies Bluffton, South Carolina—a growing city where modern amenities harmonize with beautiful natural surroundings and historic character. Its central location, proximity to prominent attractions, friendly atmosphere and tight-knit community feel has made Bluffton one of the best places to live in the area. We are proud to build in this beautiful city and are excited to expand our list of communities in Bluffton this year!
Appreciate the atmosphere
Bluffton was incorporated in the 1850s as a one-square-mile town along the May River, placed on a bluff above the water—hence the name Bluffton. The river and elevated bluff are what originally brought residents to the area, offering an escape from the heat.
Today, Bluffton is known for its beauty, culture and high quality of life. The population has more than doubled in the past decade, and now over 25,000 residents are proud to call it home. With a vibrant arts scene, some of the best seafood in the Lowcountry and unique attractions, residents and visitors alike are never short of things to do year-round in Bluffton.
Find your passion
Bluffton’s coastal way of life has earned it the title of “the last true coastal village of the South.” A wide variety of entertainment options gives every type of person, from the history buff and arts fanatic to the outdoor enthusiast and foodie, something to love about life in Bluffton.
There are museums and historical sites aplenty throughout town, like The Heyward House & Museum, The Garvin-Garvey House, The Church of the Cross and more. Take a self-guided walking tour through Old Town to see all of the stops along Bluffton’s National Register Historic District. Designated as a cultural district by the state, Bluffton is recognized for its rich arts and culture—in addition to the art galleries and boutique shops around town, the Bluffton Village Festival is an annual event that gathers local artisans and musicians to showcase works that celebrate the life and local culture of Bluffton.
One of the biggest benefits of living in Bluffton is the access to some of the best food around. Whether you’re looking for a regional favorite like a Lowcountry boil, the freshest seafood you can find, tender barbecue or a refined and elegant meal, Bluffton restaurants and cafes have you covered. Lastly, the May River provides endless opportunities to spend time outside and on the water. Head out on a kayak or paddleboard, go fishing, ride along on a dolphin-watching cruise or just walk along the shore and take in the great outdoors.
While there’s so much to do in town, Bluffton is also a short 10-minute drive away from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina—one of the most desirable vacation spots in the country, featuring beautiful beaches, resorts, and some of the most pristine golf courses.
Live in a Logan Homes Community

Hampton Lake and Hampton Hall are both in Bluffton, while Riverton Pointe and Latitude Lakes are just up the road in Hardeeville. These two communities allow residents to live out the Hilton Head lifestyle with amenities like pools, tennis and pickleball courts, fitness centers, a pet spa and an 18-hole golf course from Nicklaus Design.
Hampton Lake is the premier private community in the area—centered around a 227-acre freshwater lake that includes 15 miles of shoreline. This 900-acre community features oversized homesites, over 300 acres of preserved nature and resort-style amenities. Hampton Lake is a consecutive winner of the national Best in American Living Award (BALA) for “Best Community in America.”
Nestled within 1,000 acres of the pristine natural environment is Hampton Hall, a gated community built to cater to the lifestyle of every resident. A private golf course, tennis courts, spa, resort-style pool, dining options and more give homeowners everything they need right inside their own community.
