Employee Spotlight: Meet Erin Walker

Meet Erin Walker! Erin is a Design Consultant at Logan Homes. She and her husband have two young children. When she’s not working, you might find her gardening, enjoying the great outdoors such as paddle boarding or enjoying the ocean. Erin is a true extrovert and a giver and loves to make those around her happy.

Erin graduated from Michigan State University in 2007 with a BA in Interior Design has been doing interior design, kitchen design, furniture and décor and even event design for the past 13 years.  

She loves art, design and helping other transplants like herself fall in love with the Carolinas. Born and raised in Michigan, Erin is now a Southerner at heart.

Erin is a coffee aficionado whose one real splurge in life is a good cup of coffee. Her go-to brand is Blackbeard’s Delight by Black Rifle Coffee made with a French press, enjoyed before sunrise while watering her plants and listening to the birds sing a morning song. 

As a Design Consultant, her role is to help guide homeowners through the design process which can seem very daunting to many.  She is a pro at helping ease any concerns customers may have while personalizing their home to the needs and individual aesthetics.  Erin says, “I love making homeowners dreams come to life, easing their nerves and creating beautiful homes.  I love hearing their excitement at the end of their design selections appointment as they are always impressed with how smooth the Logan design process flows and how many decisions they are able to make in a short amount of time.  I also love walking homes when they are nearly finished and seeing how the products we chose came together in real life.  It’s gratifying to see our home owners vision become a beautiful reality.”

Erin joined our team just in the height of one of our coastal communities, Helms Port, which is also one of her favorite experiences here at Logan Homes. Erin says “I grew tremendously creatively and in my position as a design coordinator during the building of that community and felt it bittersweet when the community was completed.  Now, I’m looking forward to watching Salters Haven from come to life from conception to completion.  It’s really unique to see a community grow and be completed so quickly.”

When asked what she thinks Logan Homes does best, Erin says, “The process that keeps our homes on schedule is very special.  Builders are notorious for being delayed or late but the Logan process keeps our homes closing on time with a record amount of home being built!”

Erin loves being a part of Team Logan and shares, “For me, it’s always the people that make a job worthwhile.  I work with a lot of really great people that make coming to work fun and rewarding.  More than that, our homeowners are wonderful.  I love their willingness to trust my guidance to help them achieve the look they want in their dream home.  Watching their selections come together in real life and hearing how happy they are is truly the ultimate reward.  For many people, this is a home they have dreamt about and spend a long time financially planning for and it’s heartwarming to be a small part in bringing their dreams to life.”

Whether hearing from homeowners or coworkers, Erin knows it’s all worth it when she hears that she’s helped make someone’s day easier and brighter. 

FUN FACT: Erin can wiggle her nose and ears. Her kids and their friends get a big kick out of it!
